Please read the job description carefully before applying…

Offsite (offsite.com) is Airbnb for team retreats, offering a marketplace to easily book vendors for team retreats, offsites, and conferences.

We also offer end to end, “done for you” offsite planning services.

Used by hundreds of VC backed startups, Fortune 1000s and other high-growth mid market companies like Remote, HubSpot, Perplexity, Guild, and Trust&Will, among others, Offsite is already a marketplace that has facilitated tens of millions of dollars in spend on offsites, with thousands of users, and the potential to become a category-defining brand.

About the Role

If you’re the kind of marketer who thrives on building authentic community, creating partnerships that open doors, and turning connections into qualified pipeline, this is your chance to own field marketing as a growth engine at a fast-growing category leader.

Offsite is looking for a Marketer who will:

  • Own field marketing and partnerships as a revenue driver - Scale highly-successful channels to drive 500+ MQLs and millions in qualified pipeline annually.
  • Build operations to scale what's working - Partner with our Head of Marketing in developing systems, processes, automations, and AI-enabled workflows that help you scale your impact, leverage our tech stack, improve show rates, and free more of your time to focus on strategy
  • Be a face of the community - Build authentic relationships within the industries of our target personas, from clients and prospects to thought leaders, community influencers and partners; represent Offsite at events; and share insights on LinkedIn that establish you as a trusted voice in our space
  • Successfully manage $50k-$150k in marketing spend per quarter with laser focus on metrics (CPL, MQLs—>SQL conversion, pipeline ROI, etc.) - every dollar needs to prove its impact to ensure that we are driving enough high-quality, qualified leads to which we can sell effectively and hit our overall revenue goals as a key GTM motion
  • Collaborate successfully across the business - Work closely with Sales on lead handoff, support product teams with real-world feedback, and partner with our Marketplace team to showcase our curated venues and vendors
  • Develop AI tools, AI agents, and other tech-enabled workflows that make automate away parts of your work so that you can increasingly focus on more strategic decisions
  • Master and calibrate your tech stack - Leverage tools like HubSpot, Luma, Zapier, and ClickUp, and research, evaluate, and make the business case for other tech and tools that will enable smooth operations and scalability of our field marketing and partnerships investments and automate key data points to other parts of the business
  • Help build Offsite into a category-defining brand (like Ramp or Brex for finance, Duolingo for language learning, Airbnb for unique travel experiences, etc).

We’re VC-backed (raised $4.3M from Automattic, Forum Ventures, and 70+ angel investors including the CEOs or co-founders of Remote, 15Five, Gainsight, Vendr, ChartMogul, and Convene), close to break-even (ie not burning much money), and growing quickly.

We’re also a lean-and-mean team (but actually, everyone is really nice!). This means…

As our new Field Marketing and Partnerships Lead, you will be our second full-time marketing hire, working closely with our Head of Marketing as well as our Founder/CEO and perhaps a couple freelancers here and there.

Your main objective: generate qualified pipeline through community-led field marketing and partnerships, elevating our brand as a category-defining, market-leading business.

If you've been executing field marketing and are ready to build and own the strategy, this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Own

This is community-led field marketing - one integrated motion, leveraging your field marketing, partnerships, community-building, and thought leadership experience.

You'll show up where our ICP is (online and in-person), build branded experiences that create not just “aha” moments but also real relationships, cultivate partnership opportunities, and leverage every opportunity to drive qualified pipeline.

Here’s a rough breakdown of time and budget for this role. Like with all things #StartupLife, this is subject to change, and you will be encouraged to be entrepreneurial about your experience and take extreme ownership in how you accomplish your goals.

Field Marketing (60-70%)

  • Execute high-conversion events - Build and manage a quarterly cadence of field marketing and partner events designed to meet your MQL targets across a series of intimate dinners (some you'll host, others you'll enable team members to lead), signature “Unfiltered” full-day *unconference-*style events, and other conferences, meetups, and happy hours that get us in front of our ICP and enable us to create valuable conversations with potential clients
  • Travel regularly (possibly weekly during peak months!) to major markets with a mindset of efficiency. Build a strategy that layers hosted events, partner meetings, and conference appearances into strategic trips that maximize ROI on every dollar and day spent traveling.
  • Own end-to-end event execution with laser focus on attendee ICP fit - Research and recruit the right ICPs for our hosted events, vet attendee lists at partner/sponsored events, represent Offsite on-site, and drive rigorous post-event attribution and nurturing in HubSpot
  • Plan, promote, and execute virtual events such as webinars, community roundtables, and partner events that drive pipeline
  • Own event logistics, travel coordination, vendor management, expense management, and budgeting
  • Develop repeatable playbooks for maximizing ROI from every event

Partnerships (20-30%)

  • Deepen relationships with existing partners to run joint webinars, deliver guest content, create and promote opt-in content, run email campaigns, sponsor podcasts, and discover other co-marketing initiatives
  • Identify community leaders, influencers, and partners who can host dinners for us, amplify our events, or give us access to qualified audiences
  • Manage referral partnerships and VC platform/perks programs
  • Track and optimize every partnership for lead gen and pipeline contribution

Thought Leadership & Field Insights (10%)

  • Be an active"face of the brand" and share valuable field insights internally
  • Build your credibility as a community insider - Post regularly on LinkedIn about what you're learning, who you're connecting with, and what's happening in the world of our ICP. Share in and cultivate discussions that show the intersect between their needs, problems, and challenges and how we can help them here at Offsite.
  • Become an SME in our customer persona AND our service - you should be able to speak with authority about the challenges our ICP faces and how Offsite solves them.
  • Be our eyes and ears within the community, proactively sharing key insights that can help inform strategic decisions. What you're hearing from prospects, partners, and the community should influence our product, sales process, and marketing, so be an active participant and help drive entrepreneurial ideation with “voice of the community” insights.

Why Offsite?

  • Experience extreme ownership. You’ll be making decisions and collaborating at a high level with product, sales, marketplace, etc. You’ll also be responsible for investing $250k+ of hard-earned company cash into field marketing and partnership campaigns each year and getting substantial ROI.
  • Build what you want to lead. Do this well - build a scrappy field marketing machine as a predictable revenue driver, create the systems that scale it - and this role has the potential to grow into leading a team to scale it even further. We're looking for someone ready to show what they're capable of when the results are in their hands.
  • Thrive in a builder environment. We operate with a mindset of continuous improvement. We aren’t starting from scratch when it comes to field marketing and partnerships, and we also know that “what got us here wont get us there” (but we’re hoping you can!) If you thrive in entrepreneurial environments, work effectively on your own without much hand-holding, and enjoy working with a “get shit done” mentality, keep reading on! If you need to be handed a playbook to get started, can’t handle event logistics or pressure, or if you don’t drive real results that can be tracked and attributed over time, this is not going to be a good fit.
  • An exciting role in travel, where you get to travel. You'll attend 2 company offsites annually, plus regular travel to major cities and high-ROI conferences. (Heck, you might even rack up the most miles and hotel points on the team!)
  • Learn from operators who've done it before. You'll work directly with our Head of Marketing (seasoned HR Tech operator) and our Founder/CEO. You've absorbed what great field marketing looks like - now you get to build it with experienced partners in your corner.
  • Build an exceptional network. You'll be marketing to and connecting with CEOs, Chiefs of Staff, EAs, and People Leaders from fast-growing companies - the kind of relationships that compound over your career.
  • Impact you can measure. Every lead and deal you touch will be visible to the company.
  • Work from anywhere (Must be US-based).
  • Competitive comp and real equity. Competitive base plus variable comp, stock options (4-year vest, 1-year cliff), and benefits (healthcare, 401k, remote work stipend, mental health/wellness stipend, unlimited PTO).

About You

You've made your mark on a high-impact field marketing team, driving revenue, strengthening relationships, and boosting retention. You've been behind the wheel of a best-in-class operation: automations that achieved sky-high show rates, integrations that closed loops with sales, attribution that proved ROI, partnerships that unlocked new audiences, and a team pushing the limits of innovation in the field. You know what great looks like because you've experienced it. Now you're ready to build it yourself.

  • 4–6 years in B2B marketing with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in field marketing, partnerships, or community-led growth, ideally B2B SaaS selling to mid-market/enterprise (250–2,500 employees). Bonus if you’ve worked in HR or TA tech or worked with our customer profile before.
    • We are open to diverse backgrounds (community managers who evolved into events, partnerships managers with field experience, demand gen marketers with heavy event components) - what matters is that you've personally driven pipeline through relationships and events.
  • Track record of results you can point to: X MQLs from a conference, Y% improvement in event attendance, Z partnerships that generated pipeline. You're comfortable being measured on outcomes, not just activities.
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves. You’ll own execution (ie driving attendees, planning flawless events, “doing the work”) and not just strategy.
  • Strong community builder and relationship cultivator. You naturally connect with people, build authentic relationships with influencers and thought leaders, and can represent Offsite with confidence at events and in partner conversations.
  • Organized and systems-oriented. You've worked in environments where good ops (automation, CRM hygiene, clear handoffs) made you more effective, and you're excited to help us build that here alongside our Head of Marketing. Organized, data-driven, and “pleasantly persistent” in follow-up and attribution.
  • You think like a business owner, not just a marketer. Every decision ladders up to: does this grow revenue? You're energized by owning a budget, making strategic calls, and proving your approach through data. You’re hungry to grow and want to build the playbook and business case to run your own team in the next 2–3 years.
  • Comfortable being visible. You're willing to post regularly on LinkedIn, speak on panels, and build your own brand alongside the company's. You see thought leadership as relationship-building, not a chore. Huge plus if you have grown a newsletter, post regularly on LinkedIn, and are excited about building your own personal brand alongside the company brand.
  • Experience with HubSpot is a huge plus. Other tools we hope you’re familiar with include: ClickUp, Luma, Apollo, Notion, and AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude. If you have experience with these or other relevant tools, please outline your experience for us when applying.
  • Ability to listen critically, adapt quickly, and pay attention to small details. So that we can screen this, when you email us with your interest, please send us a Loom video introducing yourself, in addition to sending your resume.
  • You are highly motivated, a self-starter, confident yet always a student of your craft and the world, proactive about continuous improvement and bringing new ideas and solutions to the team
  • Excited to be a part of an early-stage, VC-backed, high-growth technology startup and the opportunity to learn new skills and hyper-charge your career development
  • Demonstrated coachability, humility, and motivation

Comp and Benefits

The total compensation (before considering the equity upside, benefits, and monthy/annual stipends for this role is $80k-100k USD (80% base salary, 20% variable comp paid out quarterly tied to the number of MQLs you drive each quarter) in addition to stock options in the company which will vest on a standard 4 year schedule with a 1 year cliff.

This means you can earn more as you meet and exceed MQL targets related to your variable comp. Please note, we try hard to be as transparent as possible with our hiring needs as a company, so we are not willing to go beyond the salary range listed above.

Additionally, you will receive access to company-sponsored healthcare and 401k plan (in addition to other benefits such as a monthly Remote Work stipend, annual Mental Health and Wellness stipend, and unlimited PTO).

💡 If you’re still interested in applying, please email jobs@offsite.com with your resume, how your field marketing and partnerships experience are a fit for this role, and why you’d like to work at Offsite in particular.
