Creating An Offsite Filled With Memorable Moments, Without Spending Lavishly

15Five has been remote-first for over a decade, and they have held all-company retreats nearly annually to leverage the power of in-person connection and align around the top objectives for the year. In 2023, the company decided to forego their annual gathering in favor of a January Sales Kickoff and smaller department-based offsites as needed.

One of 15Five’s goals for their 2023 Sales Kickoff was to build camaraderie across revenue and GTM teams. Since15Five was hoping to maximize cost efficiency without compromising on event quality, and, we had to get creative in terms of how to best offer a fun, engaging, and memorable experience while meeting a more streamlined budget.

The Offsite team sourced and received quotes from dozens of hotels and meeting spaces across 4 different cities in order to secure the best overall savings and value for 15Five, and ended up negotiating a 45% discount on retail rates at a boutique hotel in New Orleans, LA. This saved 15Five over $47,000 which more than covered the costs of using Offsite.

Offsite also sourced and secured meeting space at a nearby conference center (which included breakfast, lunch, coffee, and AV), saving 15Five approximately $10k on comparable meeting space and meal options.
